Design for Sharing (DFS), CAP UCLA’s K-12 arts education program and Fountain Theatre join forces for Walking the Beat, a creative writing, theater and multi-media summer residency for local high schoolers and police officers. Together, students and officers create an original piece of theater, based on their own writings and reflections about the effect of gun violence personally, and within their communities. 

High school audiences will experience the finished work, and talk with the cast and creators at this DFS matinee. 

Like all DFS programs, this hour-long student matinee performance is free for schools, though we ask that schools make their own transportation arrangements. If that means you cannot attend, let us know. We may be able to help. Our Perloff Memorial Bus Fund provides support for bus transportation.
