In My Body, My Archive, Congolese dancer and choreographer Faustin Linyekula explores the ways in which a body can carry and reflect the histories of those who have come before.

Linyekula tells the stories of his ancestors through his chosen medium of dance, a process that began in 2017 with Banataba, a tribute to his maternal ancestors with roots in a small village on the Congo River. Inspired by this process, Linyekula returns to the stage with My Body, My Archive, endeavoring to discover and share the histories of the women in his familial clan.
